This wooden cabin is ideally located for taking trips along the water. The gîte, located on the banks of the Aire canal offers lush natural surroundings conducive to experiencing trendy ecological holidays. Description of ecolodges
Your ecolodge is accessible to people with reduced mobility . It includes 2 double beds , i.e. 2 beds for 2 people, a kitchenette, interior furniture and a terrace.

There is no WIFI network.
No smoking in your ecolodge.
Free use of the sanitary facilities on the site: these are independent of the hut and located a few meters from your ecolodge (toilet, shower, washbasin).
The major advantage for the excursionist is that he no longer has to bring a tent, mattress or stove. However, you must bring your own sleeping bag (or duvet, sheet and blanket), a pillowcase and your bathroom linen.
The reservation:
Opening period
Each of the two ecolodges is available to rent from February to November, except in the 2nd weekend of June from Friday up to and including Monday.
The rental
In practice
Your rental can span up to 3 nights per booking and per person. The booking must be made over 48 hours beforehand on the www.capsurlarivieredor.com website in order to be validated.
- Keys can be picked up on-site from the property manager or from a key box (if no property manager is available).
- Check-in is between 3.30pm and 7.30pm.
- Check-out is between 9.30am and 11.30am.
From the time at which the booking is validated by Lys sans Frontières, the tenant must contact the property manager by telephone, no later than noon on the date of arrival, at 06 71 40 73 09, in order to agree on the exact time of arrival and the check-out time.
Mandatory
Concerning the assurance for this short stay, you will be asked on arrival to provide evidence of the “holiday insurance” taken out. It may be included in your home insurance policy.
Upon checking out, you must return your ecolodge in the same state of cleanliness in which you found it upon arrival.
Please note, pets are not allowed in the lodge for hygiene reasons.
A satisfaction questionnaire will be handed to you at check-in. Please fill in the questionnaire and return it to the property manager upon checking out.

On-site activities
Geotopia’s recreationists organise activities for the whole family in all seasons, and in particular during school holidays (opening hours and programme of activities on www.geotopia.fr). Themed organic gardens and natural ponds can be visited free of charge during opening hours. A bird-watching observatory located near the Geotopia site rounds out the offering of facilities for discovering nature and wetlands.
Located near cycling networks and hiking trails, the Geotopia ecolodges are an ideal solution for discovering the natural resources of the Lys Valley.
Nearby activities
In Mont-Bernanchon (awarded the “Village Patrimoine ©” label in 2016), the right bank of the canal leads to wetlands which have become a magnificent ornithological reserve thanks to Voies navigables de France. Amateurs and enthusiasts will discover many species of listed birds!
A stroll along the Canal d’Aire à La Bassée will lead you to the former water station in Guarbecque located just three kilometres away. With its nature area, paths, picnic areas, fishing pontoons and nautical stopover, this bucolic site will make a pleasant stopover by the water’s edge. The village of Guarbecque, which was awarded the “Village Patrimoine ©” label in 2012, boasts a 12th century Romanesque church that is worth a visit. On the left bank, you can enjoy beautiful trips along the canal while admiring the barges and walk through the Artois “low country” on the way to Hinges, Béthune and Beuvry.

Additional services
Two Electrically Assisted Bicycles (EVA) are rented on the Mont-Bernenchon site. Ride through the Béthunois-Bruaysis for half a day or a day.

Greeters are residents of the Lys Valley who accompany tourists (6 people maximum) on a voluntary basis.
They show tourists the known and lesser-known corners of their town and tell « stories to live ». The Greeter's own story takes a central place in the storytelling tour.
