Description

In the heart of the city, the belfry is a medieval vestige of the cloth hall. At the top throne Mercury, the god of commerce, as well as the famous ringers Manten and Kalle. The belfry tower houses a carillon with 48 bells. The belfry is inscribed, with the Beguinage, on the list of World Heritage by Unesco.
