In the middle of a landscaped park, the castle of Verchin is reflected in a pond fed by the river Lys, whose banks are embellished with aquatic plants. The vegetable garden, enclosed by high walls, is arranged in "rooms", containing more than one hundred varieties of flowers and vegetables.
