Menin's Belfry

Description

The Menin Town Hall dates from 1782. Next to it, you will discover the belfry which was completely finished in 1610. The 33-meter high tower houses a carillon with no less than 49 bells. From the platform you will have a splendid view of the surrounding transboundary region. The belfry is inscribed on the World Heritage List by UNESCO. The Town Hall was completely renovated about ten years ago. This is a very successful example of how old and modern styles can get married.
